For all the effort, accomplishments and tireless work in the area of Women Empowerment, Mrs. Vimala Britto was awarded the Women Empowerment Award by VELS University. She received the award in the presence of the honourable Governor of Jharkhand Smt. Droupadi Murmu.

The National CSR Leadership Congress & Awards on 5th September 2018, brought together several leaders from various fraternities to share their idea towards making the world a better place to live in. Kerry Indev Director & Seek Foundation Founder Mrs. Vimala Britto was one of the panelists and delivered an address on the – ‘The Future of National Service.’

She received the Best CSR Award on behalf of the Foundation. And emphasized the need for change in humanity & humanitarian outlook!

Her address focused on the transition from technology-focused world to a human-centered one. And she outlined the need of the hour to focus on service. Eloquent and articulate, her session was appreciated by the eminent panelists and the audience alike.

Our Correspondent and Secretary, Mrs.Vimala Britto received the VISIONARY LEADER of the year Award.

St.Britto’s Academy Principal Mrs.Mary Vasantha received the EFFECTIVE SCHOOL PRINCIPAL of the year Award.

St.Britto’s College Principal Dr.Thomas Ponraj recieived the PROGRESSIVE PRINCIPAL of the year Award.

It was a great honour receiving the awards from Dr.Pant, Brand Ambassador Centre for Educational Development during the EDUSUMMIT and EDULEADER Conference held at Hotel Radisson Blu, Bangalore on 22nd and 23rd June 2018. Earlier in January 2018, our school received the Top CBSE school award.These Awards received is a huge recognition for the tremondous efforts of the Visionary leader in bringing about a radical change through empowerment if the Teachers and leaners.

St. Britto’s Group of Institutions entered into the Guinness World Record by creating the largest human image of the most students making universally accepted logo of Wheel Chair Accessibility to spread the message “CARE FOR THE DISABLED” at St. Britto’s College on 27th February 2018.

A total of 816 students aged between 10 and 21 dressed in white t-shirt and cap took participated in the event. The students of the Institution took an oath to protect and provide care for the disabled. On this occasion, Wheel Chairs were donated to the differently abled from Don Guanella School of Special Children by Mrs. Vimala Britto, Correspondent of St. Britto’s Institution. The Guests of the day was Ms. Madhavi Latha, President of Indian Wheel Chair Basketball Federation. She appreciated the efforts of the Students, Staff and the Management for sowing noble thoughts in the minds of the young generation making them an instrument in contributing positively to the society. The event was witnessed by Dr. Sivakumar, Orthopedic surgeon from Adhiparasakthi Medical College and Mr. Lenin Samuel, Notary Public, Madras High Court. The Core message was to spread love and concern for the physically challenged and preparing the younger generation to be empathetic towards the differently abled people.

Through SEEK Foundation, An NGO the potential of Mr. Manoj the Para-Olympic Champion was identified and provision has been made for sponsorship. Through this foundation, 20 villages in and around Chengalpattu was identified to provide facilities for skill development, Capacity Building to educate, empower and bring opportunities closer to them for development.

T. Britto’s Academy, Chennai was declared the Top CBSE School for the year 2018 and received Dr. Sarvepalli radhakrishnan School Excellence Leadership Award 2018. The award was presented to Mrs. Vimala Britto, secretary & correspondent of St. Britto’s Group of Schools & Colleges, by the Centre for Educational Development (CED), New Delhi.

The recognition & award were bestowed at CED’s 2nd Annual Edusummit & Eduawards 2018 held at Leela Ambience, East Delhi on the 27th and 28th of January 2018. The award is a recognition of St. Britto’s progressive imparting of education and implementation of the NCERT curriculum in its true context; with innovative method of delivering the content and an objective of providing holistic education for the children at all levels.

The award was presented by Mr. G. Balasubramanian, Former Director of Academics, CBSE, New Delhi with 300 school leaders attended from across India and the word in attendance. They deliberated on the challenges in education for futuristic schools.
